What is Transcendental Meditation?

Transcendental Meditation® (TM) is a simple and natural technique, which is practiced for 20 minutes twice a day while sitting comfortably with eyes closed.

During TM the mind settles down to a state of restful alertness, and the body gains deep rest. Stress, which prevents us from experiencing our true creativity and intelligence, is naturally dissolved – resulting in better health, more happiness and success.

Where does TM come from?

Transcendental Meditation originates from the ancient Vedic tradition in India. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi bought it to the western world over 55 years ago, in a format that fits in with western lifestyles.

What are the benefits?

The unique benefits of practicing TM have been validated by over 600 research studies, and include:

  • Increased memory, creativity and intelligence
  • Improved health and younger biological age
  • Greater efficiency and improved relationships at work
  • Reduced insomnia, anxiety and depression
  • Greater self actualisation

TM requires no changes in lifestyle and does not involve any belief system. Over 5 million people around the world, from all different cultures, religions and walks of life, have learnt and benefited from it.

How do I learn?

We regularly hold free introduction sessions of about an hour, where you can meet the TM teachers and have all your questions answered. For further details contact us.
